Der Bürgermeister von Seoul, Park Won-soon, hat am 3. Oktober während einer Rede seinen Fünfjahresplan in Zürich vorgestellt. Laut des „Blockchain-Stadtplans für 2018 bis 2022“ sollen 123,3 Milliarden koreanische Won investiert werden, um die südkoreanische Hauptstadt zu einer Smart City zu machen, die von der Blockchain-Technologie angetrieben wird. Damit hat Park sein Wahlversprechen bezüglich der Förderung der DLT eingelöst.
